Tile dimensions are the common nominal figure for this type of set and vary by a millimetre or so between factories.
What this set actually is
The travel set keeps the tile count and gives up the hard case and the big tiles. The tiles are a size down from standard and the racks are thinner, which is what lets the whole thing fit in a zippered case the size of a hardback book.
It is a second set for most people rather than a first one. The smaller tiles are noticeably harder to read over a long session and the soft case does not protect corners the way fitted trays do.
If this will be your only set and you host at home, buy the standard set instead and carry it when you need to. If you are the one always driving to the game, this is the one that will actually get used.
